RE: Bicycles

I have a friend that works for Proctor and Gamble, he has been to Belgium several times and loves it. He took a bike on an extended stay and said it was the best bike trip he has ever taken.....

If I were a wise man I'd talk to you more often than I do.

Thus I love bicycle driving over everything.
But such distances create only Profies.Cry
I drive on the day 25km to my work with the wheel. Cry
Then I turn my round to 55 km on weekend.Laugh
But a European route interests me also.Angel
Here in Germany is the Elbe cycle track much likes.Cool

Long and flat you say? Sounds more like Shawn's dream date to me than a cycle tour.....Devil

I can't wait for spring. I rode 30 miles Sunday and I am fat and out of shape! Did I mention I hate....I say I hate winter?Grin Anybody ride bikes for recreation or fun? I got into it about 10 years ago and found that the group I made fun of has lots of benefits for me.....I rode about 2300 miles last year. Met up with another club rider on Sunday and he was disapointed that he wasn't going to reach his goal for '07. He only had in 26,000 miles and wasn't going to hit 30,000! Of course he is a retired fanatic that lives on his bike every day. He had a couple of accidents this year that kept him off the bike for a couple of weeks otherwise I feel he would have hit that very unrealistic goal.

I also like to cycle, mainly for fun. I don't count any miles, as it doesn't make sense to me, or there is any point.. I cycle because I enjoy it, and like going out and seeing the natural landscape around me. Also to get some peace and quiet once in a while.

RE: Bicycles

I too cycle because I enjoy it.....I mainly keep up with my mileage for the sake of goals and I like to keep my mph avg up where I feel I am getting a real good workout. Very seldom while out do I even think of anything other than keeping up or looking around at things you miss in a car.
