Not apes, primates. Apes and humans share a common primate ancestor.

As for what you prefer - you can prefer to believe in a giant bread beast bigger than the Sun that spit out people seeds on Earth, doesn't matter. All that matters it the evidence. You want to believe that there literally was an Adam and Eve, eh? I guess you think incest is OK then since that is how the future generations would have to get started with just two people.

There is no evidence of an Adam and Eve. Not even a little. In fact, the whole Adam and Eve story is absurd. Incest and all. All-knowing, future-knowing God didn't know he created a naive Eve that would bite some fruit? So the punishment is every baby born after that is born with sin because some chick ate some fruit in some stupid test?

You seem to be confused about what real evidence is. Just being mentioned in archaic text is not evidence that we all started from two people in a garden, or we would be taking "evidence" from the Bible and believing the world was flat and immovable, with the Sun revolving around it. Similarly, the Noah's Ark fable is not evidence of teleportation - as in, slugs being able to teleport from other continents to get on the Ark.
